Wednesday, May 5th, 2010Manitowoc ice machines hold a special place in our hearts, as you all likely know, so imagine the thrill this blogger got when he saw a real-life Manitowoc Ice Machine SD-0302A in a Mexican restaurant last weekend! That’s right. We were sat at a table stuck near the kitchen, which was less than ideal, but we’re not big complainers. Over a plate of breakfast tacos (migas and bean and cheese at our favorite morning spot, thank you very much), we looked up and saw it: the SD-0302A in all its gleaming, stainless steel glory. This blogger, all aflutter, nudged his breakfast partner-in-crime, and proudly intoned, “That machine is capable of making 325 pounds of full-dice ice cubes in a 24-hour period.” Needless to say, she was floored.
We’ll say it: the SD-0302A sighting was a Moment. If you ever see this masterful machine in the wild, you’ll likely experience one too.
Or not. But it was kinda cool to see one.
